What stays in your browser
Costcodle keeps your game stats in your browser's local storage. That includes your current streak, your win percentage, and your guess distribution. This data stays on your device, and we cannot see it.
Clearing site data removes it. There is no account, so nothing syncs across devices and nothing is attached to your name or email address.
What our server sees
Costcodle is delivered through Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare may process standard request logs, such as your IP address and user agent, to deliver pages and protect the site against abuse and attacks.
We do not use those logs to identify you, and we do not combine them with your game data. We do not sell or rent data to anyone.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Tag Manager (container GTM-M4LK55GM) to load Google Analytics 4. Analytics helps us see aggregate things like how many people visit, which pages are popular, and whether the game loads properly. It is not used for advertising and we do not sell the data.
Cloudflare may also add its aggregate, cookieless Web Analytics beacon to measure page views and performance. Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga and process device, browser, and approximate location information. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser, use a tracker blocker, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles this data.
No accounts and no payments
There is no sign-up, no login, and no payment flow, so we do not collect names, emails, or card details. We do not run advertising or sell data to anyone.
If our analytics setup changes, this page will say so before anything new ships.
